Exmouth is located 1200 kilometres north of Perth on the Exmouth Peninsula in Western Australia. Exmouth WA is part of the Coral Coast tourist region.
The town of Exmouth is located on the Exmouth Gulf side of the peninsular and bordered by the Cape Range and Ningaloo Reef National Park to the west.
The contrast of red dirt and blue ocean where the range meets the sea is simply breathtaking.
A young town in the North of Western Australia
Exmouth is WA’s youngest town. Originally settled by the American military 50 years ago the town is still home to the Harold Holt Naval Base. Although the American navy has largely withdrawn from the town, it has an interesting military history. Visitors can drive through the unused portions of the naval base for an insight into the town past. The people who call this ideal place home still retain a strong connection to the past and to the influences of the American culture.
World Heritage Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and Cape Range National Park
The area’s unique natural environment includes the World Heritage Listed Ningaloo Reef Marine Park that now sustains the town’s tourism industry.
The Cape Range National park showcases diversity of life between the white sandy beaches with coral reef and dry gorges on high dusty ranges. Some of the best vies are on offer from the top of the Mandu Mandu gorge walk. Some of the best coral reef in Australia is available from the shores edges of Turquoise Bay.
A must see place for all Australian to enjoy this untouched natural destination. We provide accommodation to suit all styles and all budgets.
Activities on Offer
A diving, snorkelling and fishing paradise, Exmouth WA offers visitors the rare opportunity to swim with Whalesharks, the biggest fish in the sea. Exmouth’s climate is perfect for the beach with winter temperatures of around 25 degrees and summer days in the high 30-40s.
