Things to do in Exmouth during October School Holidays are plentiful in and around town. In October the sun is very warm as is the water at Town Beach. Take the children down to the beach for a swim and play. Just outside of Exmouth is Pebble Beach where you can find some glorious colourful pebbles. Children can fish from the beach or at the nearby Marina off the rocks (with caution the rocks can be slippy). Bundegi Jetty is a good place during October for the children to catch squid that are running.
Tours and Adventure
Located in the Exmouth town centre is a local swimming pool with a separate children’s wading pool. Nearby in beautiful Federation Park is a FREE children’s water spray park. Pack a picnic for lunch or pickup lunch at a local cafe and sit back, relax while the kids run around the water park and surrounds. There is also a skateboard park located on Murat Road next to the Talanjee Football Oval for the older children.
Gorge Walks and Exploring Cape Range National Park
Why not take the children out for a drive to Charles Knife Gorge. The drive will take you over the top of the one of the most impressive gorges in Western Australia. Once at the top take in the magnificent views over Charles Knife Canyon and to the capped Cape Range oil well. The Children will find this a thrilling ride as the road is half dirt and exciting to drive on.
The Exmouth Visitor Centre located on Murat Road has lots of information and ideas of things to do in and around Exmouth town so pop in and have a chat. While you are there have a family photo taken with our famous giant prawn. You may even be treated to a visit from our local resident Emus while there.
The Shire of Exmouth also run a school holiday program with various events held around town including the swimming pool. This program caters for children of all ages. See below link for October’s Calendar.
